A unique opportunity to observe the creative process of four professional artists working on outdoor sculpture will be made available to the public during the 7 day Walcha Sculpture Symposium, to be held 9-15 September.
The professional artists will arrive on Sunday 9 September, having been selected to each create a sculpture, working with timber, during the 7 day Symposium. These sculptures will then become permanent additions to Walcha’s notable Open Air Gallery. This permanent public outdoor exhibition of artworks and sculptures currently consists of 52 works by local, national and international artists, installed in the Walcha streetscape.
The selected artists are; Caz Haswell and Dale Miles, both from Sydney, Nameer Davis & Barbara Penrose (jointly) from Brisbane and Matt Pilkington from Armidale.
